What is Flatfoot?
Flatfoot is a condition where the longitudinal arch of the foot is flattened, stiffened, or completely absent. The natural shock absorption of the body is compromised as a result. Every step becomes painful. Flatfeet can lead to discomfort in the foot, ankle, knee, or other parts of the body. Unlike flexible flatfoot, rigid flatfoot is not correctable.
Our Shoe Recommendation
Shoes for individuals with flatfeet require good support, especially adequate cushioning, to reduce stress on the foot. Suitable shoes should have rolling soles and cushioned footbeds to relieve pressure on the foot while walking.
Custom orthotic inserts may be a good option to provide support and cushioning to the foot.
