The right size and width

Which shoe size and width is the right one?

In order for you to feel really comfortable in your GANTER shoes, they have to fit properly.

To determine the right shoe size, it's important to measure the length of your foot - from the longest toe to the end of your heel. You can easily measure the length by placing a piece of paper against the wall and standing on it with your heel against the wall. Fully weight your foot as you would when walking in the shoe. Then, mark the spot on the paper where your longest toe is. Keep the pen vertical. It's easier if you have someone help you.

Next, measure the distance from the edge of the paper to the mark you made to determine your foot length. Using the table provided, you can then find your shoe size. Since feet can vary in length, it's a good idea to repeat this process for your other foot.

GANTER recommends rounding up and choosing the larger size if you're unsure, to avoid any pressure points. For models lined with lambskin, consider selecting a half size larger.

Find the right width

To ensure your shoes fit perfectly, you need to determine the right width.

Here's how to measure the circumference of your foot while standing, using a measuring tape. It might be helpful to have someone assist you:

  1. Place the measuring tape around the widest part of your foot, typically around the ball of your foot
  2. Ensure the tape is snug around your foot but not too tight
  3. Read the circumference measurement from the tape
  4. Find the corresponding value in the table based on your foot length

Achtung: Wenn Sie einen Hallux Valgus (Schiefgroßzehe) mit entsprechend ausgeprägtem Ballen haben, müssen sie unmittelbar hinter dem Großzehenballen messen, um Ihre richtige Weite zu finden.

Attention: If you have a hallux valgus with a pronounced bunion, you need to measure immediately behind the big toe joint to find your correct comfort shoe width.

Tip: If you don't have a measuring tape on hand, you can also determine the circumference measurements using string and a ruler.
