What are Hammer or Claw Toes?
Hammer or Claw toes are deformities of the toes caused by a misalignment of the joints and high tension in the toe flexor muscles. In Hammer toes, the middle joint of the toe is bent downwards, while in Claw toes, both the end and middle joints are affected.
Our Shoe Recommendation
To alleviate discomfort associated with Hammer or Claw toes and avoid pressure points, shoes should offer a generous, soft, padded toe area without pressing seam connections. Materials with stretch properties and cushioned footbeds can be particularly helpful.
